Oh yes. That transition period is always so difficult…where they won’t go to sleep at a decent hour at night WITH a nap, but also can’t be cheerful all afternoon long without one.

ohhh noooo! not the nap! anything but the nap!
i have had such a hard time finding my stride since bayliss stopped napping; it feels the whole pace of the day is so much different!
shoot, well, at least there is still popcorn.

Oh, I have mixed feelings about dropped naps. We still do quiet time. Every day. About an hour and a half. Sometimes he plays. Sometimes he reads. Sometimes he naps. But he knows it is his time and it is my time. On days when he doesn’t nap, bedtime is EARLY!! Which, I’ve gotta say, I love. Good luck.

Aaaaaah. Yes. This has been a sore spot for us for over a year. Difficult dropping naps. Today both my boys {4&2} went to play at Grandma’s house this afternoon and ended up falling asleep {one on the couch and one on her lap}. Tough transition. I wish you so much courage and grace!!
