So much has happened the past two months, that I feel that I haven’t had a full chance to really breathe. Here’s just a few things that have been happening:
Running the Rock & Roll Half Marathon (and training… no pictures to share cause they sure wouldn’t be pretty).

Starting a wonderful new school!
Saying goodbye to daddy for a while.
Getting ready for a big festival.
In the middle of all of this there has been a little boy that hasn’t slept well since his daddy left, a mama who is fighting the beginnings of a cold and hasn’t slept either, and a strive to keep simplicity and peace in the midst of hanging out with friends, going to school, lessons, appointments, and daily tasks. I am learning (slowly) how to order our time, how to keep some days free, how to plan play-dates, girls nights, and outings in advance and not the week of.
Its a process, and I’m grateful to be in process.

Well, it looks like you are doing a great job so far! Congrats to Chris and hopefully things will smooth out and you’ll find your “deployment routine.” It’s so difficult, but you make it look easy with your sweet nature and kindness to your kids. You’ll have to pencil us in there some how so we can hang out. I thought as my kids got older it would easier to find time for everything I wanted to do. Instead I am learning it’s much much harder. I am almost nostalgic for the baby days. Almost.

you have so much on your plate, Erin. I’m always impressed with the composure you keep through it all. I think I’d be a weeping puddle on the floor if my husband had to leave for so long.
