The kids both started at their new school this week. I mentioned that they are going to a small montessori school together. This week has been quite a blur for me, but I wanted to post these pictures and remember this special day.

Shirt: Dandelion Dream
Lunch Basket: Bella Luna Toys (unfortunately, they no longer have them listed)
Tote: Little Bird Vintage Designs (check out my little sidebar link!)
Shoes: Toms
My Cami bear started on Tuesday. She’s in a small class with 9 other kids ages 5-8. She really enjoys it so far, she came home the first day and told me during their rest or quiet time where they get to choose what they want to do, she chose to put together a puzzle of africa. She said: “It was really hard, and I didn’t finish… but I found the Congo!” Love this little girl.
Noah’s First Day was on Wednesday.
I tried a few full length shots… this is what I got.

Shirt: Dandelion Dream (of course)
Shoes: Toms
Lunchbag: Skip Hop Elephant
Most of where Noah spends his time during the day is the huge practical life room. He does little lessons and plays. I was a bit nervous that first day. One of the teachers sweetly sent me this picture of Noah doing his hammer lesson. I received the sheet that he worked on when I picked him up and I was so proud, he got each peg exactly on the dot every time. Way to go little Noah!

If this week is any indicator, I’m sure its going to be a great year! How was your first week?

Oh how exciting!! I am really interested in following your montessori journey… no our children are definitely past the age (13-18) but it has been an educational system that I’ve found quite fascinating for some time.
Enjoy!

Love, Love, LOVE this Erin! I wish I hadn’t been in such a giddy mood getting them off to school a couple of weeks ago as they entered 1st grade, for Ava, Primary big kid for Leo and Big kid preschool for Maximus at our montessori here. They were too excited too–ready by 7:15 by the door, just enough time to make my coffee
It is such a joy when your kids love and look forward to school days as much as you
We love the MOntessori child, it’s such a joy to see how each one of our 3 so far have experienced it. I wish you luck! AND A great free week schedule

and they’re off!
Judging from the fact that the teacher sent you a picture, I’d say they’re in a pretty great school.
