While Chris is back out, we have been working on more envelopes filled with pictures for his memory book.
Yesterday, Camille and I created watercolor envelopes from a couple of her paintings. Here is what we used:

• Watercolor paintings
• Pencil & scissors
• Glue stick
• Old envelope

I took apart an old envelope and used it as a template for tracing. After tracing then cutting the template on watercolor paper, I gave it to Cami to fold. She first folded the sides.

Then the center.

She was very particular to use her glue stick in creasing all the fold.

After making the folds, Cami ran glue along the two side folds and pressed the bottom fold to the glue. She really enjoyed the rhythm of folding and pressing the creases. It was the perfect little craft for her age.

these are great, your husband is going to love this treasure when he sees it:)
Cute! I’m sure those will be envelopes that get used over and over again. What a fun idea!
These are so cute. My son loves to write letters to his grammies and pappies, so this is the perfect craft for him.
That girl is amazing! WOW. She’s going to be just like her Mama someday.
Cute blog!
I always love seeing the projects you do with Camille! Making envelopes is so much fun, isn’t it? Erin, you have such good ideas for all these paintings your prolific little artist makes; maybe someday you could write a book about art projects to make from watercolor paintings.
I love these! You do the best little projects with your kiddos.
Your girly looks so serious when she’s crafting. Such concentration.
Such a wonderful way to reuse the proliferation of watercolour paintings that surely exists in many a home! Love that photo of your daughter hard at work.
What a great project! I’ve got a ton of watercolor paintings laying around. This would be a great use for them!
