(craving coffee treasury)

My theme for this month is coffee! These past couple weeks have been so busy, and the coffee is running out quicker than usual. Chris and I LOVE coffee. Everywhere we move Chris and I hunt out that amazing coffee shop. You’ve heard of wine connoisseurs? Well, we are that with coffee. It is true that the small shops we’ve found along the way not only have an awesome atmosphere, but also some of the best coffee we’ve ever tasted. Many of them roasting their own beans, and truly giving you something worth drinking. So, I thought I’d list our favorite indie coffee shops, that way if you are ever visiting one of these lovely places, you can stop in and try. Here they are:

Annapolis, Maryland: Caffe Pronto
Kailua, Oahu: Morning Brew
Kona, Hawaii (The Big Island): Hula Bean
Corpus Christi, Texas: Agua Java
Norfolk, Virginia: Borjo Coffeehouse (after a bit of debate ;-) )
Newport, RI: Spring Street Espresso
San Diego, California:  Ryan Brothers Coffee

I’d love to hear any of your favorite coffee shops. How fun it would be if one of them was along our upcoming roadtrip across country!

awesome post– I esp love the little coffee teether…
my favorite coffee shop in our town (bethlehem, PA) is a place called hava java..I hung out there all during high school; it was across the street from the local theatre I participated in. We used to eat chocolate covered espresso beans and run around outside like total nuts. I also briefly dated one of the shop barristas, which gave me unlimited access to pies and cakes:):)

I could not function on a daily basis without coffee! When our old machine finally died, we replaced it with a lovely french press and never looked back! Oh, yes… ;)
Our favorite coffee shop is in the town where we went to college (Terra Cotta, Alfred, NY). Our favorite flavor was “Jamaican Me Crazy”. Yuuuum!
Wonderful treasury!

Mmmmm…I love this theme. Coffee shops are among my favorite places to visit. There are a lot of very nice coffee shops in the Seattle area, but I still haven’t found a place that feels like “home”, the way Cafe Mela in Wenatchee did. We heard some of the best music there too.

I don’t drink coffee. I’m a tea girl.

But I love the atmosphere of a coffee shop. And I am always along for the ride.

Awesome post! You sure have moved around!
Peet’s for sure, but it has turned into a chain. The original, on Vine St. in Berkeley, is blocks from where Mike and I grew up (he lived up from it, I lived down).

Your coffee treasury is just what the doctor ordered. You have lived in some pretty fantastic places, Erin.
