All the kids were home for the holidays this Christmas. On Christmas day we decided to all head out and do a family picture. What better way then to hang out at a bus stop and pretend you don’t know each other?! A friend of ours does these sort of photos and we thought we’d give it a try. My parents are in the middle while my sister and her husband texting on the left. My brother-in-law with my nephews asleep on the bench (He told me that was the best family photo session ever). Chris was reading a book, my little brother hanging out with his guitar and my little sister behind him with her ipod. My big sister and I with the littlest kids on the right. My older niece is behind my sister reading a book and my grandpa behind her. It was nice not having to make the kids look at the camera and smile. Definitely the fastest family photo session we’ve ever done.
The day was full of fun and togetherness. Many loving gifts given and received. Much more than I can share in one post. I will share one design that I created for my little brother. He’s 20 and in college right now, plays the guitar & is in a band. I had searched the etsy sites looking for the *perfect* t-shirt to fit his style. I finally thought I should I design it myself then it would be the exact style I was looking for. I have a local guy that does direct to garment printing. I took a thermal shirt to him and he printed my design on it. I was thrilled with how it turned out and what’s more my brother loved it.
We are still here, enjoying the freezing cold and seeing little bits of snow here and there. One thing that’s been great is the time Chris has had off. We’ve gotten a chance to just hang out, talk and be together. Our days are slow, realizing at lunch time our jammies are still on, we haven’t showered or worked out is kind of nice. Mix in seeing old friends here and there and laughing with family. What a jolly holiday!!
