My sweet husband is so efficient and hates taking time to do anything he thinks wastes time. With that in mind, I’ll share with you a wonderful idea I had to save some of our moving paper and boxes. I mean, what a great idea for repainting old furniture & crafts with the kids, to have a bunch of that sitting around, not having to waste money buying paper, dropcloths, and posterboard. The only problem being is that when you are going through a million boxes, it is probably the most annoying thing to hear your wife say: “If you don’t mind would you just flatten that paper and set it in this pile here.” Or… “Oh no, don’t stuff all the boxes with waded paper, you should break them down and I’ll place them in a corner of the garage.” Its a tribute to how much he loves me that he did all this. Mind you, I did get a few comments but pretty soon, I saw him with a small shake of the head, walk over and press flat the paper on the pile I’d asked. Don’t worry, we didn’t do it for the whole house, I’m not crazy. But last week, when Cami wanted to write a story, I had a ton of paper I cut to just the right size. It worked simply perfect!

Camille asked if I’d take a picture of her story, so here it is!

Super idea!! I have a roll of this stuff set aside for I don’t know what. I’ve never even thought of letting the kids have at them to draw on. I think child art would look great on the crumpled paper then framed.
Just stopping by to check out your blog!
Hope you have a great week.
